Juana Acosta took over the starring role when she appeared in this fashion show, which praised the handmade work of the Embera Chamícommunity with their delicate undertaking of unveiled garments.

Juana returned to the Colombian runway wearing a dazzling dress intricately made with beads, ending the “Arkitect Maestros Ancestrales” collection in Medellín(northeast).

Lozano explained to Efe, that the dress chosen to close the show was made by hand over a period of three months by natives and is called “Emily Nepono”, which means, “the spirit of the sacred flower”.

This collection is full of tradition and ancestral roots and is part of an initiative led by FucsiaMagazine, with the support of the Grupo Éxito, Club Colombia, Inexmodaand Artesans of Colombia, to make “fashion sustainable” to protect the culture and traditions of the indigenous communities.
