About This Project
Ilich Ramírez Sánchez, aka Carlos, is a key person in the history of international terrorism in the 70s and 80s. Considered by some people as an extreme romantic leftist, he was an opportunistic mercenary who worked for the secret services of whatever power in the Mid-east would hire him. In addition he formed an organization, which was active during the Cold War on the other side of the Iron Curtain.
