About This Project
In the mid-80s, Baiona was the scene of GAL attacks against refugee ETA members in the French Basque Country. Two men face this in an attempt to escape this blood war: Gregoire Fortin (Jeremie Renier), advisory to the French Minister Robert Badinter, and “Txomin,” (Alex Brendemuhl), chief of ETA’s armed faction. One is a “white knight” seeking to negotiate at the risk of compromising their ideals. The other is a warlord that is becoming aware that the armed struggle is stuck and that he is losing his authority.
It is also the story of Yoyes (Juana Acosta) ETA militant who wishes to leave the organization behind even at the risk of losing her life.
