The Trailer for “Perfectos Desconocidos” (Álex de la Iglesia) opens in theaters on December 1st

The plot begins one day when a strange restlessness comes over the city because of a Lunar eclipse.  Its powerful influence affects the protagonists, a group of friends who have come together for a dinner.  Everything during the dinner appears to go relatively smoothly until, all of a sudden, an idea is suggested.  Why not do something different?  What would happen if they left their cell phones on the table, for everyone to see?  Calls, SMS messages, Whatsapp messages, Instagram notifications and Facebook, their entire lives would be shared with all at any moment and with any reservations.  An innocent game or a dangerous proposal?  Would this group of friends be able to take this level of honesty among each other, even if it is for one night?

In addition to Juana, Ernesto Alterio, Eduard Fernández, Eduardo Noriega, Dafne Fernández, Belén Rueda and Pepón Nieto are the protagonists of this film.  According to Álex de la Ignlesia, ‘Perfectos Desconocidos’  is not only a comedy.  It deals with a real social problem through a well-mannered tale, that illustrates, in a fun way, the anguish those of us who live tied to our phones suffer from.  “I am talking about something that concerns me personally and I don’t think I am the only one.  The freedom to choose who we want to have continuous relationships with has disappeared.  If in the past we lived dependent on twenty or thirty people who were important to us, this number has increased exponentially and many of them have fallen through the cracks without any reason”.
