Poster designed and premiere date set for Vientos de la Habana

Vientos de la Habana, the film directed by Felix Viscarret and adapted for the screen from the book written by the great Cuban writer Leonardo Padura, will open in theaters on September 30th. Jorge Perrugoría plays Detective Mario Conde in this production, which includes the participation of TVE.

Juana Acosta and Miriam Hernández join the Cuban actor in the cast. The adaption by the same author of the book, Leonardo Padura, along with the Cuban screenwriter Lucia López Coll, was able to preserve the essential characteristics that distinguish the original literary text while translating the cinema graphic language into a narrative rhythm with strong visual effects.

In the director, Felix Viscarret’s own words, “The world that Padura presents is an irresistible universe: Police stories in the middle of the decadent beauty and sensuality of Habana. Crimes investigated by a disillusioned police officer (…) Passions that are let loose in the midst of a hot and humid climate. A city, which miraculously survives a long deterioration… As Director, I couldn’t find a more passionate premise.”
