26 Oct Leonardo Padura (Vientos de Cuaresma ): Princess of Asturias Literature Award
The Cuban writer, Leonardo Padura received the Princess of Asturias Award for Literature last Friday, the 23rd of October.
One of the characters in the book, Vientos de Cuaresma, was played by Juana Acosta in the film directed by Felix Viscarret and which will open in 2016.
The film also stars Jorge Perugorría, and brings together a crime genre with the unique atmosphere of Habana, with its rich architecture, dimly lit alleyways and all of its mysteries and secrets creating a new genre in cinema, Carribean Noir or Habana-noir.
